An unusual mustard ground is the backdrop for the lovely handpainted vignette panels in this beautifully detailed SATSUMA earthenware bowl. The corners of the bowl are canted, giving the bowl a foliate or flower shape and the exterior floral decorations are well painted creating a full exterior motif as striking as the interior floral rim and vignettes. The bowl displays beautifully and is special collectors piece. Dimensions: 8 1/2"(21.50cm) Width 3 3/4"(9.50cm) Height Condition: Excellent, no damage. The bowl dates to mid 19th century Meji period and is unsigned.

Fine earthenware Satsuma vase, signed on base. This is a beautiful Millefiore (million flower) vase with exceptional painted details so sought after in Satsuma. The colors are exceptionally pleasing and this is a very powerful piece which commands a great deal of attention. The painted florals are rendered with meticulous detail making this vase a show piece.

Very unusual Japanese fine and early pottery vase. Massive heavy in the manner of a tree with cherry blossoms. I can not estimate age, but this is probably early 18th century. There is damage to some of the petals as shown, but the quality and workmanship make the damage almost unnoticible. A most unusual and rare vase. MORIAGE pottery Phoenix and Peony floral enameled polychrome details with heavy and fine beaded enamel moriage, on orange peel ground. Meticulously applied jewel like beading is exceptionally well done, with heavy Ruri Yu (oxidized cobalt color) and rich primary color glazes.
The vase is supported on three elephant like heads. A stellar collectors piece, large and bold. 19th century or earlier.
Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks or damage
Dimensions: 10"(25.50cm)
