This early KUTANI bowl is an exceptionally fine and highly detailed work of art. Painted in "Rouge De Fer" with gilt accents the bowl has strong KUTANI details with well executed figurals and landscape views in the cavettos. The porcelain body has a fine small krackle finish on a grayed body presenting a total Japanese feel yet the coloration will blend with your Chinese Imari or Rouge De Fer as well. The enamels are particularly well executed in the interior as well as the exterior. Indeed, a special signed Kutani porcelain. Dimensions: Diameter 7 1/2"(19cm) Height 3 1/2"(9cm) Condition: Very good. There is a small area in the under glaze on exterior which was possibly rubbed prior to firing. there are a few pin head pits in the glaze. This is typical in works of this age.

The polychrome details are subtle, but beautifully painted. The pitcher is signed on the base. Fine rim details highlight this charming server, which dates to late 19th century Dimensions: Height 6"(15cm)

This interesting female version (with dog) of the famous Japanese Fukusukesan is a BANK. The figure which looks a little like Daruma to me is the companion piece to the Fukusukesan gentleman shown in the last two photos. Both figures have coin slots on the back of the neck. He is available here also. I do not know who this figurine represents. She is unsigned. Dimensions: About 8" Height Condition: Excellent, no chips or frits

This is a very nicely done large OX BLOOD vase, made into a lamp with beautifully painted figures in cavettos on front and reverse. The oxblood vase dates to the 1890's, or earlier. The vase is signed on base, and the lamp is in good working order. *Note: Lamp is not damaged by wiring, as wire goes through vase opening in rear. Dimensions: Vase 14"(35.50cm) With shade 27"(68.50cm) Condition: Excellent, no chips or damage. Some light wear to gilt on top rim. Sells with shade in excellent condition.
