Here is a striking SHISHI, or Foo Lion in rich gray and white tones. In the manner of the Kutani porcelains this work is beautifully detailed and well balanced. The figurene is unmarked and probably dates to 1960's. This wonderful Shi is SIGNED in script on his left lower back, Yoshimi.
Condition: Excellent, no damage of any kind.

Moriage floral details surround this 5 1/2"(14cm) diameter Ikebana, or brushwasher.
Crack glaze, deep cobalt color. Signed, marked Japan
Condition: Very good. two small rim frits on inner edge of rim.
This is a newer, very attractive well potted large Japanese Imari Charger with fine color and detail. The charger displays very well with earlier pieces. The plate is unmarked.

Here is a very attractive pair of Foo's or Shishi in fine blanc de chine porcelain. The male figure is about 7" (17.5cm) the female slightly smaller.
Beautiful details and wonderful whimsical style. Dogs bear a hallmark on shoulder which I am unable to identify.
A Trocadero associate has a similar pair in a celadon variant.
