This is most unique and delightful hand crafted set of six KOKESHI type dolls, with truly elegant style and winsome charm.
Each doll is made of carefully selected wood, individually painted with details to show off the grain on each doll. The tallest figure is 4.5 inches. Additionally, the dolls come with a black wooden stand, which is 14.5 inches in length, and signature plaque. Also included are the original wrapings and original decorative paper box.

AUGUSTE MOREAU (1834-1917) Original charming and fine signed French sculptural bronze of CUPID OR EROS,the God of Love shown as an early adolescent complete with wings and much charm. Cupid or Eros carries his bow over his left shoulder in this stunning 15 1/2"(39.50cm) masterpiece. Bronze is mid 19th century, and GUARANTEED TO BE ORIGINAL. The sculptural works of Moreau have been copied and sold as a reproductions for far more than the offering price.
The bronze is winsome and totally charming. Perfect for your desk, Boudoir or Powder Room.
NOTE: To the best of my knowledge this bronze is not being offered as a recast on todays market.

BLACK LACQUER KODANSU JEWELERY CHEST, Edo late 19th Century.
Exceptionally fine miniature Japanese black lacquer Kodansu with three enclosed drawers, each with a tooled pull. The openwork floral hinges and findings are delicate with tiny hand made nails which have finishing details also.
A magnificent painted cockerel in bamboo and rock work done in high relief guards the door. Chrysanthemums and foliage highlight the sides and top. A rare collectors work of art.

Condition: Very good for age. Some age appropriate wear to edges and lacquer as can be expected of am early cosmetic box. All findings are intact and original with one left front foot guard missing. If desired a rear guard could be moved to front.

CELADON VASE GINGER JAR FORM, converted to a very elegant large lamp. The jar is late 19th century and has the original ornately carved wooden lid, and a carved wooden stand. The porcelain is sage color with crackle glaze. Fittings are early 20th century, with a wooden spindle, double socket,one replaced for safety.
Appears to have impressed marks with spaces, but unreadable.
Old paper label on base "$20.00" expensive for the 20s-30's era.

Condition: Excellent. Drill hole to base. No chips or cracks.
