Americana Jockey and race horse in original paint. This charming piece came from a steeplechase arcade game at Roseland Park in Canandaigua, New York, an amusement park that no longer exists. Bronze, possibly brass a magnet does not stick, and there is a yellow color coming through where the paint has chipped off. It has substantial weight for size. An unusual French hand painted porcelain portrait plate, circa 1860 of a beautiful French girl, barefoot, spinning yarn onto a bobbin. The figure is dressed in provincal costume, and poses amidst a lovely pastoral scene. The artist has signed the plate on the right bottom, though readable it is hard to decipher the handwritting.
