Horn (Water Buffalo) 17"(43cm) highly detailed deeply carved and highly polished very long matched pair. The intricate carvings are of dragons which encircle the horn in a lengthwise writhing manner. It is difficult to describe the depth and detail of the intricacies of the carving. The dragons have individual scales much like snakeskin. The eyes are inserted into the holes and are painted. I have tried to capture all the extremely intricately carved details, but photos do not do this huge pair of horns justice. A truly unique find. Unsigned. Dimensions: Horns: The curved length is 17"(43cm) Measured straight the horns are 14"(35.50cm) The width is 4" along the 1 1/4" wooden bases. Condition: Excellent, no damage |
