Wonderful underglaze copper red and blue extremely massive vase of a fierce dragon chasing a flaming pearl, with a splendid articulated five toed copper red and blue dragon applied in high bas relief. Twentieth centiruy, probably dates to 1960. This is a complex vase, with waves and carp on the bottom,a fabulous painted writhing dragon, and bas relief applied menacing open mouthed beast encircling all. I am unsure of the date of this vase, I have not seen anything to compare. Dimensions: Height 23"(58.50cm) Condition: Excellent, no damage |
