I am pleased to offer a really outstanding pair of MIRROR IMAGE 18th Century KANGXI Blue and White covered baluster jars . The workmanship and caliber of the porcelain is very fine, as is the underglaze cobalt blue, and lighter royal blue painting and the glossy overglaze. The jars vary in size, one slightly heavier and taller. Differences in the knop finial, as shown, but well matched and beautifully painted details of birds, bats flowers and foliage. The covered jars bear the KANGXI double circle on the bases. An exceptional find from a respected British antiques dealer. I believe these jars to be of the period. Dimensions: 7"(17.50cm) Height 4"(10cm) Width 3"(7.50cm) Base Condition: Very fine. A few small frits, and one very small rim chip. There are no hairlines or restorations. |
