This is a charming French lamp with a romantic couple at the harpsichord. The lamp is Louis XIV, and is unique in many aspects. The reticulated porcelain shade gives off a romantic subtle glow when illuminated. Super for the music room, or French inspired home.
The details are handpainted, and well done. This is a fine quality porcelain, no marks of maker or origin. Please see my lamp form with a dancing couple in blue and whitebr> Dimensions: Height with shade 20"(51cm) Figures 10"(25.50cm) Condition: Some light wear to gilt on knob. No damage, chips or frits. There is a cut in the porcelain on the underside of the harpsichord, to keep porcelain from cracking during firing. |
