FRENCH FAIENCE urn form pair of vases from Rouen;probably Nevers, early 18th century. The vases are painted "bleu de Perse" with polychrome armorial sheild or heraldric coat of arms, on cream pottery ground, with Urbino style village vignettes, dated and signed on side of vase, "1720 D.R" . A very rare pair of vases, in excellent condition for the advanced collector of 18th century faience. Dimensions: Height 6 Inches Condition: A few small chips as shown. |
