Chinese Longquan Celadon Ge Kiln Burner in Bronze Form

Chinese Longquan Dark Stoneware Celadon Burner in Bronze From by Mao Song-Lin

This is a classic dark stoneware burner with crackled glaze. The artist Mr. Mao Song-Lin (1938 – 2008) was graduated from the Art Department of Jing-De-Zhen Ceramics College in 1963 and named the Technical Director in state-owned factory afterward. In 1976 Mao established the Longquan Celadon Research Institution and named director from the first day. He was on of the few ceramics artists who earned college degree in the old day. In Mao’s entire ceramist career his dedication to recover the ancient beauty of celadon was second to none.

The burner is measured by height 8.5cm and mouth rim diameter at 13.6cm. The shape was designed with bronze from that accommodates a waist shape in the middle of the body. The crackles are black color that covers all over the burner. You can find the dark stoneware clay on the base and the classical ‘Purple-Mouth-Iron-Foot’ visual effect.

The burner is in perfect condition with Mao Song-Lin’s signature on base.
