An unusual notched form straight sided heavy water bowl; such a bowl would have been used to clean and wet brushes used in the application of cosmetics. The exterior of the bowl features waves and the interior a “Black Ship”, a somewhat fanciful conflation of a European ship with a Junk, with three European style figures handling ropes.
