A fine Nabeshima dish dating to the nineteenth century decorated with a design of, Sihickiko, seven wine jars set against an imbricated wave, seigaiha, ground of “blue ocean waves”. An auspicious motif and a homophone with koh-shichi – Happy seven. One jar decorated with a cracked “ice” pattern, the others with a drip pattern around the collarsand the other with stylised clouds. A mid-sized serving dish or mukozuke decorated using the katagami zuri, or stencil technique, which was borrowed from contemporary textile production. This technique was employed contemporaneously at the Nabeshima kiln, and although apparently a mass production technique, it was actually reserved for use on more expensive porcelains, because of the cost of the actual stencils. A finely painted "Daishoji" Imari bowl and cover probably produced at the Kutani kilns, rather than at Arita, dating to the Meji period. The bowl decorated with a brocade, nishiki-de, pattern copying Arita examples of the late Mid Edo period circa 1750-80, the design incorporating Cranes, Tsuru, and Pines, waka-matsu, auspicious motifs of longevity. A fine late 17th century Kakiemon type rinkagata moulded dish decorated with a central motif of a leaping Kara Shishi within a ring of Karakusa framed by two rings of auspicious Kiri-mon, pauwlonia, and a border painted with karakusa motifs against a blue wash ground.
