Small handleless Caughley tea bowl and saucer bearing the Caughley version of the 'Fisherman' design. This form was also popular at the Worcester factory. See Geoffrey A. Godden's CAUGHLEY & WORCESTER PORCELAINS 1775-1800. Thinly potted and fragile. Cup is about 3" (7.5cm) wide x 1.875" (4.5cm). Saucer is about 5" (12.5cm) wide x 1" (2.5cm). Condition is excellent. No damage. Please note: Our pictures are larger than life size. Shipping at cost.

Colorful, relatively scarce Japanese Kurawanka dishes of the Meiji period, mid-19th century. About 5" (12.5cm) x 1.5" (3.75cm) and decorated with underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron red, forest green, yellow and blue enamels, as well as gilt. One dish has chips to the foot rim, and both have lost most of their gilt. Otherwise, good original condition. Insured shipping within the U.S. $12. Elsewhere $24.

A fine Imari dish decorated in a revival of a mid Eighteenth century style dating to the second quarter of the Nineteenth century. The dish is 22cms in diameter, just under 9 inches, and in excellent condition with just a little glaze stick to the rim, and some minor enamel loss to the reverse to one or two of the leaves to the motifs to the reverse.

A European form fluted dish based on a Faience original decorated with a pattern of Hoo Birds and Pawlonia ‘Kiri’ flowers reserved against a ‘Clematis’ Vine arabesque all in 'Kinsai'; gilding within some light enamelling. Unusual c 1780-1790 Derby Imari plate with overglaze enamels depicting a naive notion of what Japanese Imari should look like. Two sets of blue branches with chestnuts, blue and green leaves, all outlined in gilt. Derby seems to have copied several mid Edo patterns c 1750. In the center, a pair of scrolling branches with reddish brown chestnuts attached.
