Thinly potted Chinese export Kraak plate with deer motif, about 8-3/8", in excellent condition. Border II, c. 1580-1600. This is the only border in which the cavetto and rim are not decorated as a single unit. The blue is intense and well-shaded. Please see Maura Rinaldi's KRAAK PORCELAIN. No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. This is not a shipwreck piece. There is no degradation of the glaze. Additional images on request. Our price includes insured shipping.
