A superb example of an elegantly proportioned Italian porcelain tea bowl and saucer produced at the Nove manufactory, circa 1780. The factory was opened at Le Nove, near Bassano, about twenty-five miles northwest of Venice by Pasquale Antonibon in 1752 and continued to 1835, and specialised in porcelain made for the wealthy Venetian market.
The porcelain is of fine quality and highly translucent decorated with simple bands of underglaze cobalt blue and gilt floral sprigs.
