Fine set of five identical Ai Kakiemon nagazara dishes decorated with underglaze blue tako karakusa and dragon motifs, their rims dressed with iron brown. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs, c. 1670-1700. About 9" (23cm) x 5-7/8" (15cm) x 1-5/8" (4.13cm). Images of all five dishes on request. Insured shipping at cost.

Superb Chinese Junyao stoneware bowl from the Ming period with provenance. Covered overall with a thick milky-blue glaze stopping neatly above the unglazed mushroom-colored foot, the interior with a purple splash. About 7-3/4" wide x 3-1/2" high. An unusually large Chinese blue and white covered jar decorated with the Hawthorn or Prunus pattern dating to the late nineteenth or early twentieth century, late Qing period. The base signed with a double circle. The jar measures 34.5cm or 13.6 inches high including its lid, and is 23cm, 9.06 inches in diameter at its widest point.
