A fine kikugata mukuzuke moulded dish in the form of an asymmetric Chrysanthemum bloom with central motif of a single Chrysanthemum leaf richly enamelled in green and blue enamels with gilding. The rim decorated with a dark brown iron temmoku style glaze. The dish measures 18.5cm in length, 14cm wide and stands 4cm high. The dish is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. Shipping at Cost.

An elegant Kyo-yaki wine ewer of traditional form decorated in gilt outlined enamels with weeping cherry Shidarezakura and brocade bands to the cover and rim. The ewer measures approximately 5 inches or 13cm in height and is approximately 16cm in width from the tip of the spout to the furthest point of the handle. Dating late Edo circa 1850. The ewer is in overall good condition some minute frits to the spout. Shipping at Cost

The figure stands approximately 15cm high, or 6 inches and measures from the top of its head to the base of its tail, 8 inches or 20cm. A nicely modelled okimono of a Japanese Chin Dog or possibly Pekingese dating to the Meji Period, late Nineteenth Century. An identical figure was sold at the rooms of Tajan in Paris in their specialist Japanese sale 2009 lot 30, and realised 372 Euros, $530. The figure is in perfect condition, it stands approximately 6 inches or 15cm high and is 8 inches, 8 inches or 20cm in length from the top of the head to the tail, the base is approximately 5 inches wide long and weighs 1077gm. A rare Kyo-yaki boat shaped koro painted in a typical Ninsei style palette. The koro painted in a palette of blue, green and aubergine enamels with gilding and an iron brown glaze. The body a high fired greyish coloured stoneware, the unglazed areas showing a reddish brown body, whilst the glaze has a slightly bluish tone where it pools. A superb small bottle shaped Shigaraki vase dating to the early Meji period or earlier. A small piece of ceramic history this beautiful vase formed part of the collection of Maria Longworth Nichols Storer, the founder of Rockwood Pottery in Cincinnati, and was acquired by her from the famous collector of Japanese Ceramics, Edward Morse, who purchased some 5000 objects during his stay in Japan 1877-80.
