"Pekingese & Parrot" pattern attributed to Cornelius Pronk (1691-1759).
In 1734 Pronk was appointed by the Dutch East India Company to develop
original designs for porcelain to be manufactured in China. The
experiment with VOC was short lived, ending in 1740 because it proved too expensive as both domestic and foreign manufacturers increasingly drew their inspiration from existing sources, i.e. botanical,

A fine sepia bat printed “Bute form” milk jug decorated with a pattern of figures in a landscape on one side set against a vista of a wind mill on a hill, church tower in the valley and cottage in the foreground, and on the obverse side a three arched bridge spanning a river with building on the bank with fine mercury gilded banding.
Dating circa 1800-1810. Unmarked in perfect condition 5.5 inches long and just over 5 inches high.
