A very rare tall Dehua, Blanc de Chine, figure of the Madonna and Christ Child, Sancta Maria, such figures are extremely rare and this version with the Buddhist Lion base is probably the rarest and most desirable. For an identical figure see the British Museum collection, formerly part of the Patrick Donnelly Collection. The figure stands approximately 38 cm high. Dating late Kangxi period, 1690-1720. Condition a loss to the thumb of one hand, and a long firing crack to the reverse and some kiln flaws. Insured Shipping at Cost
