Finely carved, one of kind statue of Steeplechase legend, "Cottesmore". Winner of the Grand National in 1940 and 1942. Hand Carved of rosewood with the highest level of detail. Created in the 1940's in the USA by a German immigrant residing in the Ohio area. Excellent condition. Stands approximately 12" tall on original wooden base with felt backing. This is a true American treasure created with the highest level of German craftsmanship. Stunning piece.

Beautiful original oil painting by Lawrence A. Howard. Subject is reclining foxhound and Jack Russell terrier (?). They are guarding a chair with the Huntsman's jacket and hunting whip.
