I have to say, this is one handsome devil. He photographs so well !!! But not as handsome as he is in person. Circa early 1900's made by the collectible Royal Worcester company. We believe by Doris Lindner, noted for her exceptional artistry of animals, fox hunting, and sporting works. Measures 7" in height, is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or crazing. A heavy bronze or brass card tray. Fabulous detail of horse legs, hooves, jockey cap, whip, horseshoe, and even caulks !!! Probably Victorian era Italy (as marked). In great condition. Not quite sure what this is. May be a toasting napkin ring or may be a rattle. Or may be a holiday horn with jingle bells. Many opinions have been offered. But nonetheless, it is a great interesting Victorian piece from the 1800's which obviously can be used for many purposes. It is sterling silver, tested as such, with 2 marks....an "R" and another imprint which is illegible (could be a mark for sterling).
