This is a rare replica of the 19th century trophy mounted horse hooves of England. Smaller scale, hoof is constructed of bronze (instead of real hoof)and has a brass shoe and nails. Lighter is a metal and works with lighter fluid which is removed for shipping. So well done, so authentic, love the toe clip. Marked Made in Austria and Saks Fifth Avenue. Believe these were made exclusively for Saks in the 40's or 50's. Measures 3.5" x 3". A fabulous piece. Very special.
