These bookends were a private commission for an English Huntsman in the 1940's. The Sterling silver sculpted horse heads have been gold-plated and mounted onto the mahogany bases. The heads are solid silver and each plate is stamped: Birmingham 1941. The Makers Mark reads: G. Ltd. Each measures 6" tall x 4" wide and deep. Mint condition.
