Just in time for Christmas! Once of the most recognizable and often copied designs from the golden age of Taxco jewelry. Ana Maria Nunez Brilanti's (Victoria) sterling shadow-box angels necklace, bracelet and earring parure set.
This is the largest and rarest "double square" version of the design. Hand-made circa 1950's-60's, this is a large, heavy weight set. The necklace measures a nice 16 x 5/8 closed and is marked 53 Victoria, Mexico, Taxco, Eagle 12, Sterling. The bracelet measures a large 8 X 7/8 inches closed and is marked 53 Victoria, Mexico, Taxco, Silver. A silversmith can remove one link to make it just over 7 inches closed. The screwback earrings are 1 1/4 x 1/2 inches, marked Victoria, Mexico, Taxco. GREAT patina and pverall very good vintage condition with a very minor dent to one bracelet half round. |
