No data is actually submitted during your familiarization with Express Storefront. Before a homepage can be created, you must first register with TROCADERO. When your registration has been confirmed, you will receive an automated e-mail directing you login to our maintenance features and create your homepage.

The following instructions apply when you have registered and login to access Express Storefront.
You may "Proceed" from a template to explore the process but no data will be submitted or saved.

If you have a custom designed page, we can convert it into a template especially for your use so portions can be made more easily updated. We also provide design services. Please feel free to inquire.

Select a template below to create a homepage. The template you initially select will in no way impede you from switching to another template subsequently. Data you input for one template will seamlessly convey to matching fields for another. For convenience, you do not need to perform all tasks in one sitting as work is saved each time "Update Now" is hit.


The following two templates are recommended for new members with fewer listings. Additional templates become available for (1) members listing items in at least five unique categories, (2) members having listed sufficient items and set up terms in "Define Specialties" [located in "Config"] and (3) Enterprise accounts with items listed.


Beginning Homepage

This is the simplest template and therefore the most recommended for new members until "Supporting Pages" have been built with that feature from "Config" and sufficient listings have been posted to produce a fair number of search results.


With Search & Page Links

Also a simple template, this one is recommended only when sufficient listings exist to produce a fair number of search results. By then, "Supporting Pages" may also have been created and will be automatically included in the homepage.

The following templates show for members having listed items in more than five unique categories. Links may be displayed for one or two sub-category groups related to a dealer's specialties.

Subcategory Links For One Category

This Template will be available when items have been added to at least 5 categories

A great choice to show category links on the homepage. This is a recommended template for those who list in many categories. Links for sub-categories appear directly on the homepage. You may specify "top of catalog" or may select a specialty category.


Subcategory Links For Two Categories

This Template will be available when items have been added to at least 8 categories

This is a recommended template for those who have more than one specialty and wish to link to sub-categories under two, specialty categories. They should be unrelated for best results. Selection of a category permits display of links to its sub-categories directly on the homepage.

The following templates show for members having utilized "Define Specialties" (found in "Config" after logging on). One template will show for members setting up between three and seven specialties. A second will show for members with eight or more specialty links.

Few Specialty Links

This template will be available when you add items at least 25 items and define at least 2 specialties

Ideal for those with a narrow focus departing somewhat from TROCADERO's own categories. Recommended when only a few specialites are selected in "Config". They will appear on the homepage as will five thumbnails, selected from the member's featured items or catalogue listings.


Many Specialty Links

This template will be available when you add items at least 50 items and define at least 10 specialties

It is recommended this template only be used if many specialties have been defined in "Config" from the login menu. These specialty links will appear in a column on the homepage. This may work well for a specialist in need of very specific and not necessarily related categories.

The following templates utilize various of TROCADERO's automated features to produce a more robust homepage for Enterprise accounts. The templates follow the same options as those for other account types but include links interfacing with the Enterprise member's "featured" and (if used) "auction" gallery pages.

Starter Enterprise Template

Enterprise accounts may use this template when starting. Recommended when fewer items are listed and "Supporting Pages" have not yet been setup (from "Config").


Simple Enterprise Template

Enterprise accounts may use this template when sufficient listings exist to produce a fair number of search results and "Supporting Pages" have been setup (from "Config").


Subcategory Links For One Category, Enterprise

This template will be available to enterprise accounts with more than 4 categories

Enterprise members may use this template to select a category which is their focus. Related sub-category links are displayed directly on the homepage. This is especially useful for members listing predominantly in one subcategory.


Subcategory Links For Two Categories, Enterprise

Enterprise members may use this template to select two categories which are their focus. Related sub-category links are displayed directly on the homepage. This is especially useful for members listing predominantly in two specialties.


Few Specialties, Enterprise

This template will be available to enterprise accounts with more than 2 specialties and 25 or more items

This template is recommended for Enterprise accounts wishing to display links to only a few specialties. This is useful when the member's specialties are narrow and depart somewhat from Trocadero's own categories. Member defined specialty terms will appear automatically on the homepage.


Many Specialties, Enterprise

This template will be available to enterprise accounts with more than 10 specialties and 50 or more items

This template is recommended for Enterprise accounts wishing to display many links to specialties. Again, this is useful when the member's specialties, related or not, are more specific than Trocadero's categories. All specialty terms will appear automatically on the homepage.
