Rare Silver plated over bronze cast Whippet or Greyhound dog on marble base, circa 1920 after the French Animalier Sculptor P.J. Mene, very fine detail showing a Whippet or Greyhound, Silver patina, No knocks, dents or restoration.
Signed to tummy "Silver Plated"
Measures 7" x 6 1/4" x 4" approx.
This is a genuine Circa 1920 cast as can be seen from the detail. P.J. Mene, French (1810-1877) was the most successful Animalier sculptor of all time.
A lovely example of Anglia Pottery which is a distinctive hand crafted pottery made in Billinghay Lincolnshire. Signed to base and reads "AP 199 Billianghay" glazed in a translucent turquoise green glaze and in perfect condition. Measures 6" x 3 1/2"
This very handsome glass snake bears it's original paper label to base, which read: "Alum Bay Glass, Isle of Wight" Date of production circa 1970's Measures 3 1/4" tall, green, blue and white swirls, ground pontil mark to base and in perfect condition.
The original tag on this beautiful Scottish scent bottle reads "Caithness Scotland". The bottle is a heavy glass, typical of Caithness, in purple with lavender, with pink accents. The stopper, which is original to the piece, is clear. The bottle stands 5" high and is in excellent unused condition. Gorgeous!
A very attractive Beswick Beatrix Potter figure of “Appley Dapply”. This is the rarer first version which has the top of the bottle sticking out of the basket. It bears the BP3b backstamp, used only for one year on this version, 1974-75, making it a rare piece. Condition is excellent, No Chips, Cracks or Restoration, no handling marks.
