This is an incredible circa 1930's Chinese elephant ivory woman with a child at her side carved from one solid chunk of tusk. The figure is free from damage or restorations. It is a large figure standing 9 3/4 inches for the ivory alone and 10 3/8 inches with the attached wooden stand.

This is one of the best elephant ivory figures of its era that I have owned. I believe it to be Chinese. Please correct me if I am mistaken. This figure is carved from one piece of elephant tusk and mounted on an attached wooden base. The carving is incredible with some areas no wider than a toothpick. This statue stands 7 3/4 inches tall with the stand and just a fraction of an inch less than 6 1/2 inches tall for the ivory alone.

Great little example of mid 20th century elephant tusk carvings made in India. Small figure is of a woman playing a flute. It is carved from one solid piece of tusk. It is attached to a wooden plinth. It stands 4 1/4 inches with the stand. The ivory alone stands 3 3/8 inches tall. No damage or restorations at all. A nice old East Indian elephant ivory carving of Buddha. Stands 6 inches tall. It may have had a wooden stand, no longer present. It is carved from one solid piece of tusk except for his head dress which can be turned on its pin. This carving has no damage or restorations at all. This wonderful and good sized circa early to mid 19th century East Indian elephant ivory carving is very well done with ornate carving troughout. Most likely a circa 1840's Johns Company chess piece. It is large measuring 4 5/8 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide. The only damage is that it would have had two flags on top no longer present. A great old pair of painted elephant ivory snuff bottles in the form of a man and woman. Mid 20th century at the newest and late 19th century at the oldest. Likely Chinese but possibly Japanese or Chinese made for the Japanese marked. Each is in excellent condition with no damage or restorations. Original spoons are present. Measurements to be added shortly but average sized bottles. Once glued to wooden stands shown but need reattaching. REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED.

Good pair of mid 20th century signed Chinese elephant ivory Tang horses made from one solid piece of elephant ivory (except for the tails) to include the bases. Each horse has a chipped right ear. Otherwise, no damage or restorations. Painted manes, sides and tails. Very obvious cross hatching throughout. They measure just under 4 3/4 inches and 4 1/2 inches long.
