Incredible Meiji Japanese Ivory Travel Shrine by Kodo
This is an absolutely outstanding, museum quality circa 1900 Japanese travel shrine made of elephant ivory with metal hinges signed by the maker: Kodo. Don't let its small size fool you...there is so much work in this tiny shrine, ivory carved to almost paper thin in places. Ornately carved everywhere. Stands 3 1/6 inches tall, is 5 1/8 inches opened in diameter and 2 1/2 inches in diameter when closed. There is no damage and no restorations. The outside could use a light cleaning though the inside is clean and white. Ask about my no interest lay away plan. I can make sure that anyone can own anything on my website by arranging payments to suit the buyer.
