| This is a very special and rare circa 1920's Chinese elephant ivory brush pot with no damage or restorations of any kind. Nicely painted in various colors and painted red on the interior. This is an unusually large brush pot for any era. It stands 5 1/8 inches tall but most impressive is the width which moves with the shape of a large tusk. 3 5/8 inches in diameter in one direction at the mouth and following a slightly oblong shape it is 3 3/4 inches diameter in the other direction. This item was carved from one chunk of elephant tusk except for the ivory base which is signed on the underside.
