| This is one of the best elephant ivory figures of its era that I have owned. I believe it to be Chinese. Please correct me if I am mistaken. This figure is carved from one piece of elephant tusk and mounted on an attached wooden base. The carving is incredible with some areas no wider than a toothpick. This statue stands 7 3/4 inches tall with the stand and just a fraction of an inch less than 6 1/2 inches tall for the ivory alone. | |||||||||||||
