Quoting the internet memorial for Goodman, "..hanging on opposite walls an important Flemish Old Master by Jan Van Kessel and an exquisite naïve work by an unknown Twentieth Century Italian immigrant farmer, Peter Petronzio". A rare 8'long North African spear or javelin from Ethiopia with the original shaft and inlaid blade. The head blade is about 14" long by 2" widest and the socket is about 10" long. Shaft diameter is about 1", of hard wood and has great patina. This is a Coptic spear as evidenced by the metal inlay with a cross. Both head and socket are well decorated. A luxury book by the Japanese textiles expert Tomoyuki Yamanobe published 1972 by Hinoki in Japan. This book is mainly in Japanese, but each costome has both a Japanese and English description. There are a total of 50 full color tipped in plates with tissue separators. The facing pages show the costume in black and white together with the text for the costume. (This is a follow on to her smaller 1957 Tuttle book.)

A lovely Hawkes bowl from the American Brilliant Cut period. It has a toothed scalloped rim with deep mitre cuts and stars. 8" diameter and about 3 1/2" high. Etched Hawkes hawk mark on the bottom hard to photograph. Outstanding condition, only one tooth has tiny shallow flake barely visible. Rings beautifully. Outstanding holiday value from estate of old China Trade sea captain.
