A charming little Pembroke table by Beacon Hill, a respected old Boston maker of quality furniture in the early half of the century. The top is crotch mahogany as you can see from the close-up. Leaves drop down to save space and open to a graceful oval shape. Slender tapering legs Hepplewhite style. Delicate --- inlay --- along the top border and drawer bottom for that discreet decorative detail. A center drawer opens and the old manufacturer's tag is along the side.
About 27.3"" high; 17.5"" x 19.5"" leaves down; 32.5"" x 19.5"" leaves open. Lightly revarnished in very good condition. An outstanding little table to decorate that spot and a Pembroke is ever so versatile. Will fit within UPS ground constraints for economical shipping. (Sorry continental U.S. & Canada only) |
