A lovely 19th century Chinese export lobed and footed tazza or fruit bowl in rose medallion palette. In addition to the figural courtyard scenes, we have some wonderfully lively birds painted in great detail. Enamel and gold leaf in good condition. No marks anywhere. Circa 1870.
14.6" x 12", a faint and tight crack barely visible. Otherwise in good condition. This form is shown o p92, #252 in Schiffer's Chinese Export Porcelain. |
