A fine Yongzheng imperial mark and of the period conical bowl with foliate and fluted rim, in an even celadon toned monochrome glaze. The outside has molded convex details matching the interior fluting. Six character imperial Yongzheng mark in underglazed blue.
10.3" diameter and about 3" high. Very good condition with no flakes chips lines or repairs; lovely ring. One grain of sand from the kiln on the surface. Silky smooth glaze as mark and period monochrome celadon of this period should feel like. Notes: 1) The Qing celadons of the Kangxi, Yongzheng , Qianlong and later imperial reigns emulated the glaze of the song and earlier wares. However the biscuit is completely different, being fine porcelain. We can see the tranluscence in the detail picture. 2. An identical bowl was sold at Sotheby's London November 2002 sale, #473. Also, the Yongzheng mark on our bowl here is the same as the imperial mark of a celadon vase sold at Sotheby's September 02 New York sale, #137. I can email details if desired. 3.
