Antique Sterling Plique A Jour France Marcasite Brooch

Exceedingly Exquisite & Rare. Stamped... "Sterling" & also stamped... "Made in France". c. 1900-1920s. Depicting a Fabulous Dramatically Domed forward Brooch that is done in a Art Nouveau Flowing designed with shimmering marcasites and Awesome guilloche blue enamel in the center, then it is layered with a 8 sided octagon top that is rivet set clear through the entire foundation and are the center of the flowers when viewed from the back, having Magnificent open work so that you can see the enamel work underneath, then it is Superbly done in a Blue Plique a Jour (just like stained glass) within all the open work over the whole surface of the brooch for a Spectacular jaw dropping look, it is Fantastic! The back is just as detailed as the front with a floral design that is engraved within the rhodium plated thick sterling silver foundation. Comes equipped with a tube push or trombone closer clasp in perfect working order. The Brooch is a very nice size being domed forward and measuring 1.75 inches in diameter looking much larger than the measurements state because of the dimensional display. Condition... There are only a few extremely tiny places where if you look closely at it with a loop you will see some of the plique glass panels within the Art Nouveau open work design are missing, extremely minor and literally impossible to see unless you are enlarging it to scrutinize it, it cannot be seen with the naked eye. Otherwise the entire brooch is in Absolutely Excellent Vintage Antique Condition. This was Extremely Difficult to photograph, it is Shockingly Beautiful & Made with the Best Quality we have ever seed on a brooch of this type. You are going to be very pleased. It is Rare & Incredible! Thanks George Evelyn & John @ Jivin Jewels
