This 12” tall ‘smiling face’ figural whistle (TEH.F50.4) is attributed to the Veracruz horizon along the Gulf Coast area of Mexico dating into the Late Classic Period, c.550-950AD. At the top edge of his headdress is the whistle hole (the w ...click for details

This group of twelve (RDM 14, 30, 32-34, 38, 40, 50, 56, 57 and 59) represents the final listing for the Barney Mallonee collection, but it’s going out with a BANG! There are pieces from the Tiwanaku and Manteno horizons, as well as a few with unknown provenance, all very reasonably priced in a range from $75-$225, and ranging in condition that from 4 to 8 (on the 1-10 scale, with 10 being tops). Standouts in my eyes are the Tiahuanacan polychrome jar with the great but simply designed protrudin ...click for details

Measuring 4 1/4" in height, this striking figural jar from the MAB collection (MAB.187) is dated c.1250AD in the Post-Classic Period and attributed to the Zapotec horizon in Oaxaca, Mexico. In spite of the kneeling figure missing both of its feet and having its head re-attached (graded at a 6-7), it still shows its artistry well. Please ask any question by either referring to the Item Number (5-7 digits long) or the Stock number (MAB.187) in the upper left portion of this page. A purchase c ...click for details
