$1500.00

The exact species type of this realistically lost wax cast lizard pendant (TF98.110) is unknown, but probably one that can be fairly easily identified if not extinct. Measuring 5 1/8” in length and attributed to the Veraguas horizon of Panama, c.500-1200AD, this rather large zoomorphic form was made from the high copper, low gold alloy known as tumbaga. After the casting was completed, the surface was treated with plant acids to leach away the copper leaving a thin film of higher grade gold that ...click for details

There is surprising detail on this 7/8” tall figural pendant (102.53HD) that was cast in copper and surfaced in Pre-Columbian days with a light silver coating. Attributed to the Chimu horizon of Peru, dating c.1000-1400AD, the amuletic character (a dancer or healer?), wearing a breechcloth, stands with legs slightly bent, and his remaining single arm flexed at the elbow with hand extended to the front (the left forearm is missing). A small ring at the top of his head appears to have been used fo ...click for details

$29,500.00

Weighing over 55 grams and measuring 3 ¼” in height, this wonderfully crafted anthropomorphic 20-22K gold image (H4154) is said to represent a shaman. Attributed to the Veraguas horizon in Panama, c.500-1200AD, it is one of three different available images that can be put in a row to depict the transformation sequence of shaman to his animal form, in this case a caiman, the South American crocodile. With a bale attached to the recessed back, this powerful piece can be worn. You’ll seldom find or ...click for details

This 24” long double-stranded necklace (103.53HD) is assembled from mostly Precolumbian silver beads that had to have been found at a single site! There are a dozen or so elongated and round greenstone beads (presumably turquoise) balanced along the ...click for details
