$150.00

This small bi-colored figurine (CH1024), sometimes called a ‘cochimilco’, is from the collection of the late Carrol Howe, well-known amateur archaeologist from Klamath Falls, Oregon, whose interests in ancient cultures ranged far beyond his beloved lands of the ancient Modoc and Klamath Indians. This crudely molded and rather primitively painted 3” tall figure is attributed to the Chancay horizon of Peru, c.1100-1400AD. In excellent condition without restoration of any type, the little guy, bede ...click for details

$350.00

Found in west Mexico in the mid-20th century by the late Lynn Langdon, this two ‘dogs for the price of one’ terracotta censer (LLL425) is attributed to the Pre-Classic Colima horizon dating c.300BC-200AD. Broken across the front of the body and glued, there’s been a moderate amount of restoration on the censer’s left side, and three of the lower critter’s legs have been restored. Measuring just a bit less than 8” in length, this acted as an open cover that was placed over smoldering, aromatic co ...click for details

$1500.00

The late Lynn Langdon found this seated shaman figural jar (LLL708) in west Mexico in the mid-20th century. Measuring 10” in height, an x-ray of the figure shows that the head area has been repaired and there has been some minor restoration. About 30% of the slip is missing from the surface. The jar is quite heavy, due to packed mud still contained in its body. The horned and bearded figure sits holding an unknown elongated object between his two hands (possibly a flute or whistle). The jar come ...click for details

This 2 15/16” tall orange-ware ceramic jar (AJC100), known as a ‘poison bottle’, dates into the Classic Mayan period, c.300-900AD. Embossed on both of the circular side panels with the seated image of an unidentified Mayan god, the bottle is intact and in overall good condition with a couple of minor nicks on one edge and base. A light fire cloud covers 1/3 of one of the side panels, and though the image is somewhat hidden in the photo, it is still distinct when held in the hand. From a local co ...click for details

$850.00

About 6” in height, this Precolumbian figural stirrup jar (TF99.57) is attributed to the Moche horizon of Peru, c.100-800AD. In overall very good condition, there is some chipping around the mouth of the narrow spout, and there’s a small, spider-web ‘push’ on the back of the jar that appears to have resulted from a probe that penetrated the left side just below the figure (two small holes, one on the front upper left corner of the throne, and the other just around to the side, have been repaired ...click for details
