This 12 5/8” long, 8 ½ pound cast bronze canon (TEH119) was purchased in Morelia, Mexico in 1960 by the late Chester Howard, adventurer, collector, and founder of the Colorado Mineral Society in 1936. Believed to date back into the early 19th century colonial period, the canon has no markings and except for its bent ball handle, is in excellent condition.
