| Either used to hold tools of various sorts, or perhaps coca leaves, this large dark but vari-colored bag (100.255ARHD) is attributed to the Nazca horizon of Peru, c.100-800AD. In only fair condition with significant stain and a fair amount of fabric material loss and pulling, the approximately 12” x 15” bag (counting the fringe) is still a displayable type piece for style, color, and pattern. From the Gunnulf Bjorkman collection, it comes in a deep 14” x 20” glass-fronted frame along with a biographical sketch about the previous owner, and a map of Peru highlighting the Nazca area. | ||||||
