| All but one of the twelve ancient Egyptian scarabs in this group of twelve (95.44HD, 96.226HD, 96.285HD, 96.305HD, 96.395HD, 96.405HD, 96.428HD, 96.449HD, 96.561HD, 96.921HD, 96.932HD and 96.940HD) are from the world known Philip Mitry collection, former owner of the Anglo-American Bookstore and Antiquities Shop in Cairo. Mitry’s collection pieces all begin with the number ‘96’. Each of the twelve individually photographed and priced scarabs show first the inventory number in brackets followed by the scarab’s greatest dimension, type of material, and estimated grade in brackets. Next comes the period, Dynasties, the form of the top of the scarab, the hieroglyphs on its base, a brief about condition, and finally the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Any that have been sold will be so-marked on the appropriate photo. A purchase comes with a small display card, information about Mitry and his shop, and a certificate guaranteeing authenticity.
