LARGE EAGLE HEAD SILVER BUCKLE WITH GOLD WASH
This impressive 3 ½” tall eagle’s head silver buckle (BB135) was noted by its late owner, Billy Branch of Denver, to be Navajo ‘old pawn’. Believed to date into the mid-20th century, the beak of the eagle is covered with a gold wash, and its one piercing, disk-shaped golden eye is centered with a small button of polished jet. A unique, soldered, raised touch mark on the back of the buckle has the word ‘STUMP’ floating over the image of a tree stump. A handsome Native American buckle that will accommodate a belt 1 ½” wide, it will be an eye-catcher whether worn or displayed, and comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about the late owner, and a certificate guaranteeing that the buckle is Native American in origin. We plan to soon have listed a total of some 150 items from the Billy Branch jewelry collection, so please check back often. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced!
