HOPI MIGRATION BOWL, DAISY HOOEE NAMPEYO
Dating into the earlier 20th century, this 4 3/8” wide Hopi polychrome bowl (TEH127) depicts the ‘Hopi migration’ theme by the noted Native American artist Daisy Hooee Nampeyo. In overall good condition with some paint loss and scratches, the bowl is marked on its base with the artist’s name. From the Chester Howard collection, the bowl comes with a small display card, a biographical sketch about the late owner who founded the Colorado Mineral Society in the earlier 20th century, a map of Arizona highlighting the Hopi area, and our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. You can see many more items from this old and diverse collection by typing the three letters TEH into the search box on any of the catalog pages. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various other listings, and at the same time limit your browsing time, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced and available! Any item that has been sold will be so noted on its photograph.
