| Each of the twelve prehistoric Native American artifacts in this group (CH633B-E; 981K, N, R, AC & AD; 1022A and 1382) is from the estate of the late Carrol Howe, the well-known student and author of two popular books on the artifacts and lives of the ancient Modoc and Klamath Indians of soutwestern Oregon and northern California. All but one of the artifacts, or lot of artifacts, have been placed in small Mylar bags and attached to their cards with staples. Included in this group are: abalone shell pendants, Indian made copper tube beads, brass trade and early military buttons, a copper trade ring, a stone scraper, etc. The artifacts were primarily found at Klamath Lake and other sites in Oregon, and Night Fire Island, California, with the scraper being from Hardin County, Ohio. Each illustrated card has a brief description of the item with the approximate age of the artifact, its price, and finally a unique inventory number in the bottom corner. Select or ask any question by referring first to the six-digit Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Each artifact comes with a biographical sketch about Howe, and where applicable a map of the area in which the artifact was found. NOTE: if you would like to view a large number of our various listings, and at the same time limit your browsing, try our ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’ by simply spelling out the word TWELVE in the search box. That will quickly bring up all of our listings that have twelve different items on a page, each individually priced! | ||||||||||||||
