| This group of twelve obsidian relic lots from the well-known Lynn Langdon collection (LLL838A; 845M, O, P, T & V; 846K; 1204B; and 1214C thru F) includes the following types: beads, inlays, crescents, an effigy shark (?), razor sharp flake knives, an axe-shaped pendant, duck’s head pendants, and a spatula shaped pendant. This great assortment of volcanic glass relics well illustrates some of the skills possessed by the ancient knappers. Note that a millimeter scale appears on the left side of each photo to assist with size determination. Every photo is annotated with first the inventory number of the pictured item or items, a brief description followed by the age and provenance, brief description of stone type, comments concerning condition, and finally the price. Select or ask any question by referring first to the Trocadero Item Number on this page, and then to our Inventory Number shown on the given photograph. Each lot comes with a descriptive card, a map highlighting the area in which the pieces in the lot were found, a biographical sketch about Langdon and his collection, and finally, our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. | |||||||||||||||
