TWELVE CELTIC, ROMAN, BYZANTINE & GREEK COINS
The coins in this fascinating group of twelve (MAP163, 164, 168, 169, 171–177 and 179) include examples of Celtic, Roman, Byzantine, Greek, and Indian types. Gold, silver and bronze denominations represented by the solidus, hyperpyron, semissis, unit, Pagoda, hemidrachm, et al, are shown. Broadly dated from 195BC to 1400AD and priced from $95 to $600, the rulers John III, Zeno, Valens, and Anastasius I are but some of the subjects commemorated on these beauties. For an estimate of size, a millimeter scale is shown on the left side of each photo which in turn is marked with firs the unique Inventory Number of that coin in brackets, followed by a brief description, the date, ruler, images, condition, and price. Select or ask any question by referring FIRST to the TROCADERO ITEM NUMBER on the upper left of this page OR to the group name COINS.Y, and THEN TO THE UNIQUE INVENTORY NUMBER of the coin of interest as shown on its photograph. Any coin sold will be so-marked on its photo. Each coin comes with our certificate guaranteeing authenticity. NOTE: if you enjoy this ‘TWELVE different items on a single page format’, and would like to see all the different categories that we currently list in the TWELVE format in our catalog, spell out the word TWELVE in the search box and it will bring them all up. It’s a great way to limit your browsing time while examining a lot of 'stuff'! And if you want to further refine the group, add one or two additional modifiers at the same time as the TWELVE, such as ‘Indian, Precolumbian, Stone, Pot, Gold, Coin, etc.’
