This 6 7/8” wide, gray and white on red bowl (BB73) is attributed to an unidentified potter from the Santa Clara Pueblo of New Mexico. With a somewhat primitive geometric design and its gently scalloped, infolded rim, the bowl is believed to date into the early to middle 20th century. In overall good condition with a few minor rim dings and one small repair on the rim, the bowl makes an impressive decorator and has an early charm that will appeal to many. This crudely molded and rather primitively painted 3” tall figure is attributed to the Chancay horizon of Peru, c.1100-1400AD. In excellent condition without restoration of any type, the little guy, bede ...click for details

Richard Wise, noted northeastern goldsmith and author of the recent SECRETS OF THE GEM TRADE, made this fine 14K gold custom ring (96.1107HD) centered with a late 19th to early 20th century bloodstone intaglio depicting either Victory (note the wings) or possibly Neptune (note the trident and what appears to be a couple of fish in his left hand).
