S1200.00

This 5" long cuneiform foundation cone from the MAB collection (MAB.151) was once hidden in an ancient Sumerian temple wall leaving for history a story of the ruler in power at that time, along with information about the god to whom the temple was dedicated. In overall very good condition (graded 8-9), the owner of the collection did not have the text interpreted. Please ask any question by either referring to the Item Number (5-7 digits long) or the Stock number (MAB.151) in the upper left ...click for details

$1800.00 (Will Consider Offer)

Here's the last of the five points we have on consignment from the Rhonda Beck collection (RXB16). Although an attached tag has the notation "Cobb's" (and the inked words "Pope Co ILL" on the side of the blade itself), I believe this is an un-notched pre-form of the Tennessee River type due to the absence of the Cobb's characteristically beveled edges. The Tennessee River is an Early Archaic point dating c.7000-4000BC. Measuring 7" in length and, again, a Bec ...click for details

If you’re hunting for a collectible with history and character, this well-aged Colonial Period wood keru (LFG493), measuring 8 ½” in length from handle tip to handle tip, may just be the one! From the collection of published research anthropologist Lorenzo Gordon Fritz, a former southwestern primitive arts dealer who, for the past twelve years, has been living with and assisting several of the indigent tribes in the remote highlands of Bolivia, this native drinking vessel is characterized by its ...click for details

Each of the twelve individually priced prehistoric Indian artifacts in this group (AXH66.4, 5, 8, 10, 13, 21, 25, 26, 34, 36, 41, and 44) were once attached to a frame with Elmer’s glue that had been assembled from finds in Louisiana made by the late Dr. Allen Heflin. Included in the group are what I believe to be the following point types: Boggy River Type II, Burkett, Evans, Gary, Marcos, Midland, and Savannah River. Heflin marked all of the points on one side in black ink with the provenance, ...click for details
