This incredibly well preserved set of Pre-Columbian wood ear plugs (LFG442), on which the geometrically decorated shell and dark greenstone elements are each held in place with an almost invisible touch of contemporary glue, is attributed to the Moche horizon of Peru, c.100-800AD. Not wearable today due to the fragile nature of the wood that has dried and shrunk through the many centuries of entombment, there are certainly few other such pairs that have survived this well.
